One Big Year for BBC Radio 1 Online

In 2000, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1 Online asked Charles to create One Big Year, an online festival gallery documenting BBC Radio 1’s live events over the 2000-2001 season.

Featuring dozens of festivals, gigs and club events, the Festival Gallery was shot in stills and video by Charles Kriel, featuring his visual design and commentary. This was Radio 1’s first aggregation of a year’s worth of live content into a single online format, and a massive success with their growing online audience.
